WSUS, SCE & Security Visio Stencils – No Oficial
[Click here for English] Hace tiempo que tengo la idea de agrupar algunos Stencils y generar otros para Microsoft Visio y así poder generar gráficos sobre WSUS, System Center Essentials, etc.
Algunos gráficos fueron tomados de los standards de Microsoft, otros fueron agregados por mi dentro del paquete. Con este paquete de Stencils vas a poder generar todo tipo de gráficos sobre WSUS o cualquier plataforma de parches o seguridad. Creo que agregué todo tipo de gráficos pero si falta alguno puedes pedírmelo por acá o bien a través del foro para poder mejorar el paquete de Stencils.
Mas abajo dejo algunos ejemplos de qué tipo de gráficos se pueden generar con este grupo de Stencils. Igualmente esto se puede sumar a los que ya tenías por lo que puedes generar cualquier tipo de gráfico en Visio. No pude encontrar ningún paquete oficial de Microsoft sobre esto, así que generé el mio propio y lo comparto para todos aquellos que esten en la misma búsqueda.
El artículo está traducido al inglés mas abajo ya que puede haber gente interesada de cualquier parte del mundo, recordemos que este paquete es universal y los nombres de los objetos los puse en inglés para que cualquiera pudiera usarlos.
Fue probado tanto en Microsoft Visio 2003 como 2007, desconozco si funcionan bien en versiones anteriores del producto. Si lo probaste en una versión anterior y funcionó por favor comentalo así otros pueden aprovecharlo.

For some time I have the idea of grouping some Stencils and create other so we can generate charts on Microsoft Visio about WSUS, System Center Essentials, etc..
Some charts were taken from the Microsoft standards, others were added by my self inside the package. With this package of Stencils, you’re going to be able to generate any kind of graphics about WSUS or any other platform about patching or security. I think I added all kind of graphics but if you find out that someone is missing please let me know here or through the forum in order to improve the Stensils package.
Below are some examples of what kind of graphics can be generated with this group of Stencils. This can be added to other Stencils that you already have so you can generate any kind of chart in Visio. I couldn’t find any official Microsoft package about this, so I make my own and want to share for all those who are in the same search.
The article is translated into English and Spanish as there may be people interested anywhere in the world, remember that this package is universal and the names of the objects are in English so that anyone can use them.
It was tested in Microsoft Visio 2003 as 2007, I don’t know whether they work well in previous versions of the product. If you tried in an earlier version and it worked well, please let me know so others can use it too.

Hey - these are great - very handy.
I have found that i am unable to edit the text associated with the objects however (I’m running visio 2007 SP1). If this could be modified, instead of having to create new text boxes, it would be good!

@Ben, thanks, that’s a good point. I didn’t use the text associated, that’s why I forget to check that. Thanks for the advice, I will fix that and publish the file again.
